Pastor Leon’s SOAP: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer

March 1: Numbers 28-29; Mark 8

Scripture: Mark (NIV) 8:27 Jesus and his disciples when on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
28 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
29 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”

Observation: When I walk through my day, it is not enough to know what others think about Jesus. Most important is what I think.

Application: My faith to face the issues of my day is determined by my thoughts about Jesus. I must believe that he is with ME. I must believe that he is able to overcome MY challenges. I must believe that he is willing to help ME.

Prayer: Lord, The more I know you, the more I believe that you are both able and willing to help me. Help me keep my eyes focused on you. Amen
