May 21, 2019: SOAP #3456:  1Kings 7; 2Chronicles 4; Psalm 98; Romans 2

Scripture:  Psalm (NIV) 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9 Before the LORD…

Observation:   God’s creative power is seen in making things that give praise to their Creator.  The Creator made the sea to give praise.  The creator made the floods and hills to express praise.  God made man to make a “loud noise and rejoice and sing praise.”

God has blessed man to be creative and man should use his creative talents to give praise to God!  Man creatively combines words and thoughts then expresses them with rhythm, melody, and harmony to praise God.  Man creatively combines wood and string to make instruments for worship.  Man takes metals from the earth and fashions trumpets and cornets.

All of God’s creation, AND all of man’s creations should be used to glorify and praise our Holy and Loving God!

Application:  There will never be an end to creating songs and melodies to express praise and worship of our wonderful God.  Many instruments are still to be created with which to honor our great God.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, you are worthy of all creations praise and worship.  Using every word in every language could not begin to express the fullness of what you deserve.  Holy Spirit, continue to anoint people to write new songs and invent new instruments for worship.  Amen
