July 02, 2019: SOAP #3498:  Isaiah 4-5; Psalm 115-116; Jude

Scripture:  Jude (NIV) 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Observation:   As we live in a world full of temptation, what a blessing to know Someone able to keep us from falling.  How does He do that?  Sometimes he brings a helper alongside.  Sometimes He gives us a prop.  Sometimes He calls out to us.  Sometimes He shows us in His Word.

But the greatest way He keeps us from falling is to live inside each one!   His presence, not just near me, but in me!  It is an inside job!  His presence inspiring, indwelling, and empowering me!

Application:   I must learn to recognize His presence in me.  I need to be listening and expecting to hear His voice.  I need to be in God’s Word daily.  If I have been reading in God’s Word, I will more quickly recognize what He speaks to me personally.

Prayer:  Holy Spirit, thank you for sharing my life.  I need a constant reminder of your presence.  I want you to feel welcome and feel at home.  Keep me from falling and present me faultless before the Heavenly Father.  Amen
