November 16, 2019: SOAP #3635:  2Cor 3-6

Scripture:  2Corinthians (NIV) 6:16 …For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Observation:  With even a limited understanding of God, God’s offer is so far beyond what we should expect—who would ever knowingly reject His offer?   He asks us to separate ourselves from the world.  And this God of creation will consider us His sons and daughters and we will be allowed to consider His as our Father!   He even sends His Son to die in payment for our sins!!!

He will live with us and experience life with us.  We will live with Him and experience life with Him.  He will share our daily life and we will share His daily life!  Who could refuse God’s offer???

Application:   What an honor that the God of all creation wants to share my daily life!  He is my Father; I am His son!

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to help me become more aware of your presence in my daily life.  Amen
