Available & Findable

Pastor Leon’s SOAP:  Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer
January 20, 2022: SOAP #4431:  Exodus 1-2; Psalm 88; Luke 21

SCRIPTURE:  Luke (NIV) 21:37 Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives, 38 and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.
Luke (NIV) 19:47 Every day he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.

OBSERVATION: As I was reading Luke 21 today, I recalled that I had recently written a SOAP on a verse very similar to verse 37.  (Note above.)  This truth is noted twice in these important days just before His crucifixion.  Repetition is a way of noting importance.  It was important that Jesus taught.  It was important that people hear.

The fact that He was faithful to teach at the temple shows that it was easy for people to find Him.  He was not hiding.  Jesus was available; He was findable.

APPLICATION:  Jesus is still available; He is still findable.  I have found that Jesus still has a daily ministry.  I must allow the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus through His word.  God wants His word to be a daily part of my life.  The same Jesus that taught at the temple meets with me in the pages/verses of the Bible.  The Holy Spirit guides my thoughts as I meditate on the scriptures.

PRAYER:  Lord, you still have a daily ministry to me.  Holy Spirit, you daily open the scriptures to me to reveal Jesus and His will for my life.  I am blessed!  Amen.
