March 22: Joshua 12-14; 1Corinthians 7

Responsible

Scripture: 1Corinthians 7:24 Brothers, each man, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation God called him to.

Observation: A few verses earlier, slaves are told if they can gain their freedom, they should, however Christians are not to place eternal importance on their present standing in life. Whatever our position in life, we are responsible to God. It is to God we will answer.

Application: As a SOAP-writer and school bus driver I am responsible to God. As a husband I am responsible to God. As a citizen of the city of Andover I am responsible to God. For whatever I do and wherever I am, I am responsible to God.

Prayer: Lord, I am responsible and will answer to you. I need your Holy Spirit to help me live a life that pleases you. Amen.
