September 25: Ezra 2-3; Luke 8

Scripture: Luke 8:16 "No-one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

Observation: In Matthew 5:14, Jesus said “You are the light of the world.” From the verse above, we can know that our light is not to be hidden. Anyone who comes near will see our light.

Application: I should not be surprised if people look at my light and make a comment. God intends for my light to be seen. God intends for my light to be helpful to others. As the lamp is place on a stand, so God has placed my life in special places so people can see the light.

Prayer: Lord, you did not put your light in me to be hidden. And you did not place me in some private dwelling. You placed me where people can see my light. Amen.
