Pastor Leon’s SOAP: Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer

October 8: Ezra 9-10; Psalm 131; Luke 21

Scripture: Luke 21: 25 "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
26 Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

Observation: Jesus spoke of troubling signs that will be seen in the last days. There will be signs in the heavens and on earth. When people on earth are in anguish and apprehension He tells them to look for His coming.

Application: There are times when I seem to be having more trouble than usual. In those times I need to stand up and look up. I need to expect and look for His presence.

Prayer: Lord, I count on your presence in time of trouble. I know when I look for you, I will find you! Amen.
