Pastor Leon’s SOAP: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer

September 2: Ezekiel 17-19; Revelation 7

Scripture: Revelation (NIV) 7:9 After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Observation: The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…) will be fulfilled. People from every nation, every tribe, every people group, and language will be present on that day when we stand in worship before the throne of God Almighty! What a day that will be!!!

Application: Songs that comes to my heart and mind as I write this: “What a day that will be!” “When we all get to heaven!” “When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.” “It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus.” These are songs we sing at our family reunions. I can hear my Grandpa Boese singing: “Face to Face.” I can hear my mother and Aunt Clara singing about “Looking for a city that is built four-square.” Standing before the throne is going to be one great family reunion!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for the great privilege of being in a family that is looking forward to meeting at your throne. What a day that will be! Amen
