Pastor Leon’s SOAP: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer

November 7: Job 31, 32; Galatians 5,6

Scripture: Galatians (NIV) 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Observation: Those who have the life of the Holy Spirit inside should so live that it can be seen on the outside. The life of the Holy Spirit within a person should be noticeable in the way they talk and in their actions.

Application: Location and timing are so important. If I keep in step with the Holy Spirit, I will be at the location I should be and arrive at the time I should be there. If I keep my heart in line with the Holy Spirit, I will have the attitude I should have. If I keep my thoughts in line with the Holy Spirit, I can count on Him to update my thinking as needed. He will make sure I have enough information necessary to make the important decisions. I can trust Him to “nudge” me when I am not sure. I can trust Him to put at “stop” in my heart when I am about to take a wrong step.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, live your life through me. Keeping in step with you makes my life a joy to my Heavenly Father for He sees Jesus in me. Amen
