Observation: To each of the seven churches in chapters two and three, the Lord says, “I know your works…”

Application: God is not looking into my works to see how I am doing. He knows. God will not have to ask questions to determine the value of what I am doing. He knows. He who knows the thoughts and intentions of my heart already knows the motives behind my works. He knows my works.

Prayer: Jesus, you know my heart. You know when I do things because I want other people to like me and when I do those same things simply because I love you. May my works bring joy to your heart and also be a blessing to others. Amen
