Justice/Injustice

April 16: 1Samuel 18; 1Chronicles 6; Psalm 11; Matthew 3

Justice/Injustice

Scripture: Psalm (NIV) 11:4 The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them…
7 For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

Observation: In these two verses from Psalm 11, we see that the Jehovah God is on His throne. He is not attempting to gain His throne; He is already in the position of supreme authority. We see that he is interested in the affairs of men. He is looking at them. He is considers their ways. His character is righteous and for him justice is a passion.

Application: Righteousness and justice is very important to God who lives in me. No wonder my spirit is troubled when I allow sin into my life. He is a righteous God. No wonder I am so bothered when I view injustice. He loves justice. He wants to use my voice to speak against injustice. He wants to use my hands and feet to act and stand against injustice.

Prayer: Heavenly Father when I am bothered by injustice, may I be reminded that you feel the same way. May I be your mouth, your hands and feet doing what you would do to defeat injustice. Amen
