July 30, 2015: SOAP #2065:

Scripture: Isaiah (NIV) 62:6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

Observation: God was speaking to Israel of a time, as I see it in the near future, when the Lord would take delight in Israel and restore her to a place of prominence in the world. In these two verses we read of fanatics who see God as the only answer to the world’s problems. In calling on the Lord, they will not take any time off even to rest. They do not even give God any rest from their prayers until they see His will being established.

Application: God likes to see passion in my life, especially when it is for Him. God wants me to serve and worship him with my whole heart for my whole day, for my whole week, for my whole month, for my whole year, and for my whole life. God likes it when people around me can see my passion for Him. I believe God is worthy of passionate worshippers.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, of all the things in this earth over which one can be passionate, You alone are worthy! Amen
