November 18, 2015:  SOAP #2176:  

Scripture:  2Corinthians (NIV) 13:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Observation:    When we depend on our strength, we are only as strong as we can be.  When we are weak and depending on His strength, we are as strong as He is!!!

Application:   I believe my strengths come from God and I should use them for His glory.  But when thrust upon me, I should joyfully accept challenges in areas where I am weak.  They become opportunities for God to demonstrate His strength and His wisdom.

Prayer:   Lord, My life belongs to you, my strengths and my weaknesses.  Today, I want you to be glorified in both.  Amen
