April 3, 2016: SOAP #2313:

Scripture: 2Corinthians (NIV) 3:5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant— not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Observation: In talking of his ministry to the people of Corinth, the Apostle Paul takes no credit for what has been accomplished. All the credit goes to God.

Application:  The Holy Spirit draws my attention to what is needed. He puts the thought in my mind as to what my part should be. The Holy Spirit works through the circumstances to provide the opportunity. I use my physical legs to move toward the need. I use my physical hands to reach out and touch. I use my voice to speak what I believe God would have me say. And as I obey and align my physical body and my words with His will, His glory is seen as He does what only He can do! He ministers life! There is nothing for which I can take any glory!

Prayer:   Holy Spirit, I surrender. I submit to your will. I align myself with your will. Minister your life through me and may all the glory go to you!   Amen
