June 6, 2016: SOAP #2377: Ecclesiastes 1-3; Psalm 45: Ephesians 2

Scripture: Ephesians (NIV) 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no-one can boast.

Observation: God has big plans for us. God’s plans go far beyond this life. In the ages to come, God will use us as proof that He is capable of amazing grace. His kindness to us comes through Christ Jesus and we have done nothing worthy to earn it.

Application: God has designs for my life to be an eternal living trophy of God’s grace. This One who has such great future plans for me has taken up residence in me. My speech and my actions should display my appreciation for His Presence and His Plans.

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, I am humbled to think that your plans for me reach far beyond my life on earth.   Amen
