April 6, 2017: SOAP #2681: Ruth 3-4; Psalm 64, 65; 2Corinthians 6

Scripture:  2Corinthians (NIV) 6:16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God.  As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”  17 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”  18 “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Observation:   How special to be the temple of the living God.  We are His dwelling place.  But God is particular about where He lives.  He is a holy God and wants His people to be holy.  And God wants more.  God wants more than us being a temple, He wants us to be His family, His sons and daughters.  He wants to be a Father to a big family!

Application:  I am a temple of God.  I am a child of God.  We have a unique relationship.  I am His son.  He is my Father.

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, I am blest to be your son.  May I be a blessing to you today.  Amen
