June 15, 2015: SOAP #2020:

Scripture: Colossians (NIV) 1:25 I have become its servant [the church’ servant] by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness—26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Observation: Jesus did not come to earth because God wanted to live among us or with us. He came to make it possible for God to live in us!!! To the Galatians Paul would write, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Application: That God would desire to have such a close relationship with me is astounding and humbling. The treasure God has given me is Himself. In sharing my life, He will be a part of everything I do today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, what a magnificent plan you have for me/us. May my life bring you glory today. Take the lead as we walk together in this body. Amen
