March 7, 2017: SOAP #2651:  Deuteronomy 5-6; Psalm 43; Mark 14

Scripture:  Deuteronomy (NIV) 6:22 Before our eyes the LORD sent miraculous signs and wonders— great and terrible—upon Egypt and Pharaoh and his whole household.  23 But he BROUGHT US OUT from there to BRING US IN and give us the land that he promised on oath to our forefathers.

Observation:   God did such great miracles in delivering Israel from Egypt.  If God accomplished such great feats in BRINGING THEM OUT of Egypt, they could expect Him to do just as great feats in BRINGING THEM IN the Promised Land.

Application:   Again I see the emphasis on God looking beyond the past to what He is planned for the future.  God has spoken to me, has protected me in battle, has given me specific direction, has healed me, has taught me, has provided for me…  Certainly, I can expect Him to accomplish His will for my future.

Prayer:    Holy Spirit, You are just as wise and as powerful as You have ever been at any time in my life!   I can trust You!  I do trust You!  Accomplish Your will in my life.  Amen
