Big enough!

Scripture: 1Samuel 14:6 Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, "Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised fellows. Perhaps the LORD will act on our behalf. Nothing can hinder the LORD from saving, whether by many or by few."

Observation: Israel was at war. Jonathan, the Kings son, realized the battle was the Lord’s and that God was not limited. God could bring victory with a large army. BUT God could also bring victory with only a few! The following verses tell of the victory that came because these two had faith to do something.

Application: It is not the number of my enemies or the size of my problem. It is not the how many are on my side. It is the strength and size and wisdom of my God! I can act because He is big enough to back up my actions when I am doing His will.

Prayer: Lord, you are trustworthy and I can count on you to be with me and help me. I need not fear or be discouraged. My God is with me! Amen.
