God made it happen!

Scripture: 2Samuel 5: 1 ¶ All the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, "We are your own flesh and blood.
2 In the past, while Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the LORD said to you, ‘You shall shepherd my people Israel, and you shall become their ruler.’"
3 When all the elders of Israel had come to King David at Hebron, the king made a compact with them at Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel.

Observation: God had told David that he would be king and God made it happen. David did not have to push himself into being the King. God made it happen. David passes up opportunities to make himself king; God made it happen.

Application: When God shows me what He wants to do in my life, I can rest assured that He is not depending on my wisdom or my strength to make it happen. I do not have to take short-cuts to get to where God wants me. I do not have to use trickery or self-promotion. God can make it happen!

Prayer: Lord, I can trust you to work things out in your time. I must remain faithful doing what is before me. Amen.
