June 11, 2016: SOAP #2382: Song of Solomon 5-8; Philippians 1

Scripture: Philippians (NIV) 1:19 for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

Observation: Paul was writing from prison. Here we read the same concept found in Romans 8:28 “We know that in all things God work for good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”   Obviously this was more than just something that came to mind while he was writing to the church in Rome. This was a life principle. He lived with assurance that God was at work in his life and everything would turn out for his good.

Application: I too love God and I too am called according to His purpose, so I too can live with the assurance that everything in my life will turn out for my good. Everything means everything!   Such knowledge establishes peace in my heart and mind.

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, as Your child I have peace. I have confidence in Your word and Your ability to make my circumstances turn out for my good. Amen
