June 25, 2016: SOAP #2396: Joel 1-3; 2Timothy 1

Scripture: 1Timothy (NIV) 1:12 …I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

Observation: As one grows in their faith they grow in knowing their Heavenly Father. He is the One who loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to make the required payment for our sins. He is the One who sent His Holy Spirit to accompany and empower us through each day. The more we know Him, the more we are convinced that He is able to fulfill all His promises.

Application: The Father loves and honors His Only Begotten Son. He fully knows the value of Jesus’ sacrifice for my sins. I can wait with confidence as I approach the day of judgment. My sins have been atoned for by the blood Jesus shed on the cross.

Prayer:   Holy Father, your holiness demands a proper payment for my sin. Your great love provided that very payment through Jesus your Son. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Amen
